Bali, July 28–31, 2025 – Three Master’s students from the Graduate Program in Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), who are members of the ES-Club research group, participated in The International Symposium on Modern Optics and Its Applications (ISMOA) 2025, a prestigious international conference focusing on the latest developments in modern optics and its applications.
In this event, Ghaitsa Najma Zahira Shofa (Master of Physics, Class of 2024) served as an oral presenter, while Naqwa Mumtazah Purba (Master of Physics, Class of 2024) and Layyinatus Shifa (Master of Physics, Class of 2023) participated as poster presenters. In addition to the graduate students, two undergraduate students from the Physics Program who are also ES-Club members, Ikmal Habiburohman and Fauzan Abdurrahim, also took part in the conference.
The three Master’s students were accompanied by their research group supervisor, who is also the Head of the Department of Physics FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Edi Suharyadi, S.Si., M.Eng., providing guidance and support during the event.
ISMOA 2025 served as an important platform for participants to present their research findings, exchange insights, and build international research networks in the field of modern optics. The participation of Master’s students from UGM in this forum is expected to broaden their academic experience, enhance research competencies, and encourage active contributions to the advancement of science and optical technology.
