Welcome to the website of the Master of Physics study program at Gadjah Mada University. The Physics Masters Study Program is one of the study programs at the UGM Physics Department, and is one of the The oldest Master of Physics study program in Indonesia. Until 2021 this study program has graduated more than 700 postgraduate students at the master's level. In carrying out its academic activities, the UGM Master of Physics study program is supported by lecturers who have in-depth expertise in various branches of Physics from four Expertise Groups (KBK) at the UGM Physics Department, namely KBK Theoretical and Computational Physics, KBK Functional Materials Physics, KBK Applied Physics. , and KBK Geosciences. For student research activities, the Master of Physics study program is supported by four laboratories in the Department of Physics, namely the Basic Physics Laboratory, Atomic and Core Physics Laboratory, Electronic Materials Physics Laboratory, and Geophysics Laboratory. We accept prospective students with a Bachelor's educational background from the fields of Physics and Physics Education. The Physics Masters study program also accepts prospective students with a bachelor's educational background from fields close to physics, such as from Geophysics, Astronomy, Engineering Physics, Instrumentation Electronics and other branches of engineering or science. Graduates of Master of Physics UGM mostly take part as educators and researchers at various universities and research institutions in Indonesia.
